Perspective

God has given me new perspective as of late.

Our brokenness is deeper than we think. Brokenness is not necessarily a good thing. Yet even in brokenness, God is redemptive. Our brokenness points more clearly and truthfully to His perfection, holiness, and yet mercy and grace. The unfathomable depths of His grace. And by depths I do not mean to imply that His grace can ever run dry, for it is abundant and beyond human dimension.

I always used to feel guilty or shameful about my inconsistency in my walk with God. But just tonight, He has shown me something new. My inconsistency merely points more clearly to His faithfulness and goodness, and His clear work in my life. Not to say that consistency is not to be desired, but our inconsistency merely makes more "room" for Him.

Praise be to the LORD God, creator of heaven and earth!
