We took a stand today, but it doesn't end there. We will return to our communities with a new energy, a new strength to tackle the lies and corruption of the national abortion industry (Planned Parenthood in particular), one that lies to women and disrespects the personhood of a child in the womb- disrespecting to the point of murder, that is. We will win this battle- for it is a matter of life and death, of right and wrong. And though this is an ethical and moral battle, and not primarily a political one, we demand that our country's leaders listen to the voices of the people. We want the fundamental and "self-evident" right to life to be observed once again and upheld by the laws in this country. We want to see an end to the legalization of abortion. But again, it does not stop there. We desire people to know the truth- the truth that a child in utero is exactly that- a child. Not a clump of cells or the dry medical term fetus: a human person, regardless of size or stage of development. If people in our nation cannot respect life, where will the disrespect ever end?
Let 2011 be a year on our knees. A year of standing out. A year of standing up. A year of truth. And a year for life.
