Knowing

He knows you. The God of the universe knows you. I know we so often hear that God loves us, but take a second to drink this in. He absolutely knows you to the core of who you are, the deepest darkest, cobweb-filled corners of your soul- He sees them all. This intimate knowing is what highlights, defines, and outlines His great love for us, and makes it all the more amazing.

Audrey Assad, a new artist, has a wonderful song that so keenly describes God's innate knowledge of us called "Known". I am very sad that I cannot find the lyrics, but you can listen to it for free on MySpace. It pretty much sums up my thoughts on this.
